The chair considers time as a continual state of movement—flowing through the body, through culture, and through the objects we carry with us.
The chair resists traditional function. Rather than serving as a place of rest, it becomes a visual representation of time itself. The physical act of tipping the chair resets the flow, creating a cyclical relationship between the viewer, the object, and the passage of time.
Cultural memory is stitched into the seat of the chair, holding the weight of Ukrainian ancestry. The symbol, Khvylyasti Liniyi (Wavy Lines), represents water, flow, and the movement of life throughout the universe.
